At the invitation of CIUTI President Hannelore Lee-Jahnke and CIUTI Secretary-General Martin Forstner, Wolfgang Mackiewcz spoke at this year’s CIUTI Forum held at the United Nations in Geneva on 28-29 January.
The Forum was to explore new trends and needs in the fields of translation and interpretation resulting from new geopolitical settings. In his presentation, Wolfgang focused on new needs brought about by increased mobility inside Europe and migration into Europe, notably a need for community interpretation and translation and for training programmes designed to ensure the quality of community T&I services.
